R-TITE, R-Flake & R-Seal Black

Our own engineered thread forming screws and in-house coating systems.

R-TITE Type M — For Metal

Engineered for metal applications, producing strong, chip-free internal threads without a separate tapping operation.

The thread geometry displaces material rather than cutting it, work-hardening the formed thread as it's driven and creating a tight, interference fit that resists vibrational loosening. This increases pull-out resistance and stripping torque compared to conventional tapped threads, while reducing driving torque for faster, more consistent assembly.

Suited to steel, cast steel, cast iron, aluminium and cast aluminium components where secondary tapping adds cost and cycle time. Available in metric and imperial thread patterns.

R-TITE Type P — For Plastic

Designed for plastic and other low-density materials, forming clean, stable internal threads by compressing rather than cutting the material.

Its thread profile is optimised to reduce radial stress on the boss, minimising the risk of cracking or splitting during assembly.

The result is consistent thread engagement and reliable holding power across repeated assembly cycles — well suited to housings, covers, and moulded components in appliance and consumer product manufacturing.

Socket drive, Phillips, Pozidriv, and Torx drive, plus tamper resistant head styles — with head diameters and head heights configurable as required.

R-Flake

A water-based zinc-aluminium flake coating applied in-house via dip-spin process, offering a superior alternative to traditional zinc plating. Provides excellent corrosion resistance while eliminating the risk of hydrogen embrittlement — a critical advantage for high-strength steel fasteners.

R-Flake is a multi-coat system, baked on, delivering strong inter-coat adhesion across multiple layers.

Salt spray resistance: well in excess of 500 hours (ASTM B-117)

R-Seal Black

A water-based, environmentally friendly black topcoat applied in-house, enhancing both appearance and corrosion resistance of zinc-plated or zinc-flake coated fasteners. Delivers a sleek, consistent matte black finish, applied in two coats over the existing zinc coating.

Can also be applied directly to stainless steel components, where its friction-modifying properties help reduce the risk of thread galling and seizing during installation.

Salt spray resistance: well in excess of 500 hours (ASTM B-117)

Both coatings are low-VOC and free of hazardous air pollutants, supporting No Fuss Productions Pty Ltd's commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing.

R-Flake and R-Seal Black are applied in-house by dip-spin — parts are immersed then spun to remove excess coating, giving a thin, even film that won't clog threads or affect fit. R-Seal Black goes on in two coats over the base zinc-flake layer, or straight onto stainless steel, where its friction-modifying finish helps stop threads galling and seizing on installation. Salt spray resistance is well in excess of 500 hours, well ahead of standard electroplated zinc — and being a non-electrolytic process, it carries no risk of hydrogen embrittlement, important for high-strength and safety-critical fasteners.

Across automotive, electrical, white goods and building industries, Russell Cole has spent more than 45 years on the shop floor and at the design table, working at Cold Forge Products, Premier Fasteners, DW Burrows, BHP Fasteners, W.J. Smith, Epic Forge and ITW before founding No Fuss Productions.

Today that experience goes into training the next generation of tradespeople, so the skill and art of cold forging doesn't disappear from Australian manufacturing.

None of it happens alone. Production is led by Ben, our production manager, backed by a genuinely competent internal and external team built up over years — delivering quality product on time, every time, with a short turnaround.
